My Whole New World

learning french

In canada, even though the official language is English and French, HEC Montreal is a French university. and i heard from lynn that they speak mostly French there (about 3 out of 10 mods are taught in French), so it means that i got to learn french!

Been listening to Coffee Break French podcasts and i realised that it is really possible to learn french through that. Every podcast is about 15 mins long, cause as the name suggests you can listen to it during coffee break. My progress is kinda slow, after 1 week i’m only at lesson 4. Cause i got to keep listening to the same podcast to try to remember. But Coffee Break French is really gd. The ‘teacher’ is good and the pace is slow enough so that we can catch it. Unlike the frenchpodclass that i tried listening to. no good!

i can now say “hello”, “good day”, “my name is”, “good evening”, “good night”, “how are you?”, “i’m well, thank you”…….

haha. will try my best. the fact that that i’m going to a place which is primarily french speaking is a great motivation!
